Kashi Vishwanath Temple, dedicated to Lord Shiva, is one of the twelve Jyotirlingas and the spiritual heart of Varanasi. The temple sits within the beautifully redeveloped Kashi Vishwanath Corridor, which now connects the temple directly to the ghats along the Ganga.
Regular darshan queues can run anywhere from 30 minutes to several hours depending on the day, time and season — mornings tend to be calmer than evenings, and weekdays are generally easier than weekends or auspicious dates like Maha Shivratri and Sawan Mondays.
